EMDR & Trauma Therapy
We’re EMDR specialists — helping your brain finally process painful memories so they stop controlling the present.
About EMDR & Trauma Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most researched, effective treatments for trauma and PTSD — and it’s at the heart of what we do. When something overwhelming happens, the memory can get “stuck,” firing off anxiety, flashbacks, and reactions long after the danger is gone. EMDR uses gentle, guided bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess those memories so they lose their charge and feel like the past. You don’t have to relive every detail, and you stay in control the whole time.

Frequently asked
What makes Pray Counseling EMDR specialists?
EMDR and trauma work are the core of our practice — several of our therapists are EMDR-trained, and we regularly help clients in Pocatello and across Idaho heal from trauma and PTSD with it.
Do I have to describe my trauma in detail?
No. Many people choose EMDR precisely because you don’t have to talk through every detail out loud. Your therapist guides the process at your pace, and you stay in control the entire time.
